This announcement was made by Kia Motors India Chief Executive Kookhyun Shim, while participating in an AP government's program.
The investment will be focused on manufacturing SUV vehicles in the state, said the state government in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
Interacting with the top lawmakers and bureaucrats of the state led by the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Kia Motors senior executive said “Kia is all set to become a model for foreign investors and investments coming to AP.”
The Kia Motors India chief executive said the company currently employs locals to the tune of 85 per cent.
