    T-Series & Lahari bag music rights of RRR for Rs 25 crore

    Synopsis

    The two companies did not disclose the sum they have paid for the music rights of the blockbuster movie, the making of which has cost a over Rs 300 crore, according to media reports. Industry sources said the two music firms have paid about Rs 25 crore to acquire the music rights.

    T-Series managing director Bhushan Kumar said: "It is one of the biggest films we are partnering on. As a viewer, I have always admired SS Rajamouli's body of work and revered MM Keeravaani's music. I'm thrilled to be associating with RRR because it's the biggest film that will release this year. The music is outstanding and I'm sure the audience will love it, too."
    India's two big music labels the Delhi-based T-Series and Bengaluru-based Lahari Music have announced bagging the music rights in all languages of the big-ticket, multi-language movie RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli.

    T-Series and Lahari Music have together acquired the music of this period drama in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

    An MM Keeravaani’s musical, the movie features NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt, and others. Entertainment industry is pinning hopes on this movie to draw crowds as its director is known for making the phenomenally successful Baahubali.

    Lahari founder Manohar Naidu said: “I have personally admired all of MM Keeravaani’s music from the last three decades and have also admired SS Rajamouli’s great body of work. This is by far the biggest film of the year. As a music lover the music is amazing I am sure the audience will just love it.”
