Bennett University to organize global webinar on AI solutions for Covid on May 25

Bennett University from The Times of India Group, is organizing a global webinar on Monday, May 25, 4pm onwards on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is enabling solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic which has devastated lives and livelihoods across the world. Chief guest, Union minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Communications and Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad, will give the keynote address. The valedictory address will be delivered by Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE.
The webinar titled, “AI Solutions for COVID”, is being organized by Bennett University’s Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and will bring together eminent policymakers, scientists and industry leaders on one platform to share their vision and strategies on how to urgently accelerate AI and Data Science adoption for finding solutions for lockdown exit and to help bring back the pre-COVID-19 economy. They will also throw light on the opportunities brought by COVID-19 to further adapt and deploy critical AI solutions.

Many industries, research labs and scientists across the world have already created models, tools and applications to predict places of outbreaks, to track patients and warn about their spread, outline treatment priorities and other interventions, maintain social order, issue travel alerts and other precautions, dashboards and their analysis, diagnose the causation and possible prescription, control social media rumors and fake news, etc.

Key speakers in the webinar include Sandip Patel, GM, IBM India, Dr. Manish Gupta, director, Google Research, India and Vishal Dhupar, MD, NVIDIA, South Asia, in the inaugural session. Other sessions include topics like “Challenges for Deploying AI and Data Science Solutions for COVID” with speakers including Prof. Anant Agarwal, CEO, edX and Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, National Technology Officer, Microsoft, India. The webinar will also showcase AI start-ups with founders --Vinish Kathuria, Jaydeep Singh and Adarsh Natarajan-- of SenseAI, Empass and Aindra respectively, outlining their experience and the road ahead.

The last session –on AI and Data Science use cases for COVID-19-- will showcase US- based experts like Prof. Sanjay Madria, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Dr Rajeev Agrawal, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Prof. Bharat Bhargava, Purdue University.
