    Teachers can make suggestions for NCERT book updation: Prakash Javadekar

    Synopsis

    The minister added schools are imparting lessons which based on NCERT text book which was prepared on 2007.

    GUWAHATI: Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday announced that text books of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be updated and for this teachers from across the country can make suggestions.

    Javadekar who was in Guwahati on Saturday to participate in two day North Eastern Regional Workshop on Innovations & Best Practices” organized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in collaboration with Education Department, Government of Assam said, “NCERT text is almost a decade old and there is need to update the same. Teachers can make suggestions for making the text book better. Teachers know the reform needs very well."

    The minister added schools are imparting lessons which based on NCERT text book which was prepared on 2007.
