All about Airtel prepaid plans that offer 2GB data per dayReuters
With data use surging in the country in the wake of Covid-induced lockdowns, the demand for economical prepaid packages has shot through the roof.

Another factor fuelling demand for cheap data is that with most companies working from home, people frequently need to fall back on phone data whenever their wi-fi link snaps, something that happens often in many places.

With this situation in mind, top telco Bharti Airtel recently begun offering a few packages to cater to such emerging customer needs. That apart, it also tweaked a few existing packs to fit the bill.

The common factor in all these prepaid packs is 2GB data per day. The telco currently has four prepaid plans that offer 56GB data per month. Here we take a detailed look at each one of them — validity, data on offer, call & SMS, etc.

    Rs 298
This plan comes with 28-day validity. It offers 2GB data a day, and comes with unlimited local, STD, and Roaming calls on any network. It also offers 100 SMSes/day.

Airtel's two rivals — Voda Idea and Jio — also offer plans with similar features. While the cost of the Voda plan is similar to Airtel's, the comparable Jio plan comes cheaper.

    Rs 349
This plan offers the same data, call and SMS facilities as the Rs 298 one (28-day validity, 2GB data/day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day). Additionally, it offers a free subscription to Amazon Prime worth Rs 999, which is a big draw for many customers.

    Rs 449
The features offered by this plan are same as those of the two plans mentioned above. It, however, offers twice the validity — which is 56 days.

    Rs 698
This one is for those who prefer going in for longer-duration recharges. It's good for those who dislike having to recharge frequently.

While this plan offers the same features as the first three, its validity is almost a quarter — 84 days, that is.
