    Jio offers transfer of credit limit of other telcos

    Customers opting for a Jio Postpaid Plus SIM card will not be charged security deposit, the operator said in a release on Friday.

    NEW DELHI: Postpaid customers who wish to switch to Reliance Jio’s postpaid connection can carry forward their existing credit limit at zero cost.

    Customers opting for a Jio Postpaid Plus SIM card will not be charged security deposit, the operator said in a release on Friday.

    “Jio has launched this ‘carry-forward your credit limit’ feature, with which postpaid users of other operators can simply carry forward their existing credit limit from their existing operator to Jio in 3 simple steps,” the company said.

    STEP 1: Send ‘Hi’ to 88-501-88-501 from WhatsApp (From your postpaid number that you want to move to Jio)

    STEP 2: Upload your existing operators postpaid bill

    STEP 3: After 24 hours, you can walk into any Jio store or call for a home-delivery of your JioPostpaid Plus SIM & get the credit limit of your choice without any extra charges.

    Jio, whose postpaid user base is just 1% of its total 397 million, had launched Rs 399 postpaid bundled offer with OTT subscription last month, higher than its already existing Rs 199 postpaid plan.

    The plan offers access to OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar along with Jio Apps with 650+ live TV channels, video content, 5 crore songs, 300+ newspapers etc.
