    Some users of Apple, Samsung and OnePlus will not able to access 5G services

    Airtel has launched its 5G services in eight cities and soon Reliance will also launch its services in India. Reliance is waiting till Diwali to resolve the problem and upgrade and test the software.

    Apple iPhone users and some of the users of Samsung and OnePlus will not be able to use 5G services immediately after its launch according to TOI reports. The usage is upheld because smartphone companies need to upgrade and test some of its software. Currently network providers and smartphone manufacturers are coordinating to resolve this issue before Diwali.

    Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said at India Mobile Congress that “Airtel 5G service will be available in eight cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi and Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Siliguri.”

    However, the Apple iPhone and the vast majority of Samsung smartphone users are likely to wait longer. Except the latter’s models such as Flip 4, Fold 4, S21 FE, Galaxy S22, S22 Ultra and S22+ are some versions A and M series Samsung series which are up for 5 services .

    Whereas in the OnePlus series, the OnePlus8 8T, 8Pro, 9R, 8Pro, 9R, Nord2, Nord 9RT, through the remaining models will not be able to use 5G servies for the time being.

    Bharti Airtel Chief Technology Officer Randeep Singh Sekhon said that the company's backend infrastructure is ready.

    "People need to have 5G phones to access the service, which is being launched today. They will not need to replace their existing 4G sim," Sekhon said.

    Bharti Airtel had placed the order for 5G gears with Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung immediately after the auctions were over.
