    Mahendra Nath Pandey, who has been given a cabinet berth and will take over as the minister for skill development and entrepreneurship on June 4, tells Prerna Katiyar what his focus areas will be. Edited excerpts:

    What will be your first move as minister for skill development and entrepreneurship?
    Skill India was created by the PM to help youth achieve their full potential, hone their skills and help in the development of the nation. I will work to create better skilled, stronger and capable youth after first analysing the work that has already been done.

    What action will be taken to check fake centres using Skill India tag?
    We have taken action and we are hopeful of promising results.

    What will be your agenda for the next 100 days?
    I will be sitting with the officer concerned and preparing a road map. I will understand the complete framework and draw up a plan, which we will share with the public. The youth must not just empower themselves; they need better employment opportunities that will help the country also. Skill India is our dream project.

    What about stoking entrepreneurship?
    A separate department has been created to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship.
