    After extravagant wedding, Mukesh, Nita Ambani host musical fountain show for 7K members of armed forces, Mumbai Police

    Prior to the wedding, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani had sent sweets to 50,000 Mumbai cops.

    After hosting guests for a wedding bash that spanned over days in Mumbai, the Ambanis, on Tuesday, organised two special musical fountain shows for nearly 7000 members of the Army, Navy, Paramilitary Forces, Mumbai Police, Railway Protection Force and their families.
    On Saturday, Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani hosted a lavish wedding for his son Akash who tied the knot with diamantaire Russell Mehta's daughter Shloka. The wedding was followed by an extravagant Mangal Parv on Sunday, and a reception on Tuesday.

    Akash Ambani tied the knot with Shloka Mehta in a lavish wedding at the Jio World Centre on Saturday. While the bride opted for a red lehenga for her D-day, the groom complemented her in an ivory sherwani. Nita Ambani blessed the newlyweds, while the bride's mother had an emotional moment.     The Ambanis organised a special function for the security forces, at the Dhirubhai Ambani Square at Jio World Centre in Bandra, as a token of gratitude and to seek their blessings for the newlyweds.

    The function began with a performance on a devotional Lord Krishna song, followed by a musical fountain show on 'Vande Mataram', concluding with pictures showcasing the journey of Akash and Shloka from childhood to their wedding day.

    Talking at the occasion, Nita Ambani said that Reliance Foundation will take full responsibility of the education, employment and livelihood of the families of the country's martyrs. She went on to add that the foundation is also forming a skill development centre for the armed forces and their families.

    “We as a family very much identify with the city’s socio-cultural fabric and have deep respect and gratitude for the people who make it function, particularly our police, armed forces and city workers," she added.

    Ahead of the wedding, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani had sent sweets to 50,000 Mumbai cops.


    The show will integrate the movements of the water with a dance performance on stage and an aerial dance act over the stage and fountain.

    Nita Ambani inaugurated the Dhirubhai Ambani Square last week in front of 2000 underpriviliged children from NGOs supported by the Reliance Foundation. The water fountain at the square is fitted with 600 LED lights, mist emitters, fire effects and 392 water nozzles that shoot water up to a height of 45 ft.

    The wedding, Mangal Parv and reception were all held at the Jio World Centre. And day 2 even saw a special performance by Nita Ambani that was enhanced by the fountain and light show at Dhirubhai Ambani Square.

    Nita Ambani danced to Krishna Bhajan 'Achyutam Keshawam Vishwa Damodaram' at the wedding celebrations of Akash-Shloka. The Reliance Foundation chairperson was dressed in a pink saree and completed her look with diamond jewellery. Watch Nita Ambani as she presents a graceful performance.

    The Brown alumnus proposed to childhood friend Shloka in March last year, and the couple celebrated the new beginning surrounded by close family and friends in Goa. This was followed by an engagement for the couple at the Ambanis' Mumbai residence 'Antilia'.
