NEW DELHI: Padma Bhushan awardee Anupam Kher's autobiography, 'Lessons Life Taught Me, Unknowingly', has caught Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attention.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, the 64-year-old actor shared a picture of the two holding the cover of Kher's just-released memoir. The actor-turned-author also thanked PM Modi for the lessons he has taught the country.
In response, Modi congratulated 'The Accidental Prime Minister' actor on the release of his new book, and mentioned that it would be a fun read for his fans. The politician, in his tweet, further said that an individual can 'learn a lot from each other, knowingly and unknowingly'.
"The process of educating oneself never stops," he added.
Kher's autobiography, which chronicles his failures, rejections and lessons learnt in his life and in a career spanning 500 films, was released on Friday at a special event organised at the Consulate General of India in New York and was attended by the veteran actor's close friends and associates including Rishi Kapoor, his wife Neetu Kapoor, and the fellow cast of the NBC show 'New Amsterdam'.
