It’s a time for celebration for stock market veteran Anand Rathi. His granddaughter Aishwarya (daughter Priti Gupta’s oldest) got engaged to fiancé Ruchir Dalmia last week. Twin ceremonies ensued. The one hosted in Mumbai, followed by a celebration in London over the weekend, where the groom-to-be’s family is based.

Speaking with ETPanache from London, Gupta shared, “It was a very special time for the family. My daughter is the first of the next gen to hit this important milestone in both the Rathi as well as Gupta families. And the grandfathers are over the moon.”

Twenty-five-year-old Aishwarya met Ruchir while studying at Oxford University. Both work at separate consultancies in London. The couple wanted to eschew large celebrations, choosing instead to share the moment with close-knit family in a traditional ceremony. The wedding planned for February next year, mostly in Rajasthan, is likely to follow this template. Congratulations to the young couple.
