Amul's post for FM Sitharaman was titled 'Revolutionaari'.
A day after Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman delivered her maiden Budget speech in Parliament, Amul, too, showed some topical love for the country's first woman full-time FM.

The butter brand, famous for its quirky takes on current affairs and personalities in the news, shared a post on Twitter, titled, "Revolutionaari".

The post not only lauded Sitharaman, but also the several women-related announcements in the Budget. Captioning the post, Amul wrote, "#Amul Topical: Nirmala Sitharaman's maiden budget has significant announcements for women..."

The NDA 2.0's first Budget, aimed at empowering women financially, proposed an overdraft facility of Rs 5,000 for all verified women self help groups (SHG) member with a Jan Dhan bank account. Among the initiatives for women, it also proposed to expand SHG to all districts and said one woman in every SHG will get loan of up to Rs 1 lakh under Mudra Yojana.

Sitharaman in her speech, that was dotted with poetry and verse, invoked Swami Vivekananda, reiterating that India's tradition is steeped in "Nari tu Narayani" (Oh, woman, you are a goddess). She recalled Swamiji's words to his mentor and guru, Sree Ramkrishna Deb, that "there is no chance of welfare in the world unless the condition of women is improved."

She went on to stress on how women can play a crucial role in improving the financial status of rural India, and how their contribution has been significant in every segment.
