    Apple adds to festive cheer, sets up online store; Tim Cook ‘can’t wait’ to connect with Indians

    NEW DELHI: In a move that will come as a present surprise for all Indians who are fond of Apple products, the Cupertino-based tech giant is all set to launch its online store in India.

    Come September 23, Apple will launch its much-awaited online store with Apple's full range of products and provide support directly to the customers across the country. Apple Inc. CEO, Tim Cook, took to Twitter on Friday to announce the news which left Indian Apple enthusiasts elated. In his tweet, Cook emphasised on the importance of staying in touch with those we love and the world around them.

    "We can’t wait to connect with our customers and expand support in India with the Apple Store online on September 23!" wrote Cook in his tweet.


    In a blog post, Apple said that the online store will provide the same premium experience to the customers in India and will be delivered by online team members who are ready to offer their expertise.

    “We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”

    The California-based tech giant is adding to the festive cheer by bringing its online store to India. What's more? Apple customers can get guidance, receive advice and learn about new Apple products in both English and Hindi.

    In October, as the festive season arrives, customers can also avail signature gift wrap and personalized engraving for select products.

    Engraving of emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu will be available for AirPods, and English engraving will be available for iPad and Apple Pencil.

    For the health and well-being of Apple’s teams, customers, and communities, all orders from the Apple Store online will ship with contactless delivery.

    Apple has been operating in India for more than 20 years, and the company’s ongoing investment and innovation support almost 900,000 jobs across the country.
