Indian badminton player Chirag Shetty is all set for his trip to Japan for the Olympics. The Mumbai lad and his doubles partner Satiwiksairaj Rankireddy are awaiting the Olympic qualifications that officially end on April 30.
Talking about the qualifications, the 22-year-old told ET Panache, "We are sticking to the basics and whatever works well for us. The ultimate goal is to win a medal at the Olympics. We have almost qualified. You still can't say. I am positively nervous."

When it comes to his training, Shetty is sticking to his usual schedule. "I have a session in the morning three times a week, then gym and sometimes we run after that. We usually have everything in the evening, but on Wednesdays there is an off. There are four sessions in the evening, so we hit the gym four times and go running three times. On certain days we follow up the gym session with a run," he said.

In Tokyo, the Indian badminton player - who is a fan of Rafael Nadal and Usain Bolt - is hoping to meet the Spanish tennis star, since the latter has retired.

"I am a very big fan. It will be a very big fan boy moment. I don't know what I will tell him," he ends with a chuckle.
