Of all the tech moguls and top business leaders who have been closely following the COVID-19 pandemic, co-founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, has been posting regular updates about the situation. The 55-year-old has been offering suggestions and solutions on dealing with the pandemic. Ma recently announced that he will be sending aid to the poorest countries in Asia.
The top executive sent out a tweet, where he pledged donation of 1.8 million masks, 210,000 test kits, 36,000 protective suits and other equipment to countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Maldives and others.

The Chinese entrepreneur also said that while delivering it won’t be easy, they will try to get it done. This comes just days after Ma announced that his Jack Ma foundation will be donating 20,000 test kits, 100,000 masks and 1,000 protective suits to each of the 54 African countries.

Last week, Jack Ma had joined Twitter to announce that his foundation will be donating 500,000 testing kits and 1 million masks to those in need in the USA.

Ma’s philanthropic efforts come after global shortages of essential medical and protective equipment have affected even the most developed economies.
