All of us love pets and the honchos of India Inc are no exception. Turns out, Ratan Tata, the renowned Indian industrialist and the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons is no exception.
Priya Agarwal, Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal’s daughter, is an animal lover. But with three dogs and a cat, she is also a bonafide pet parent.

During a conversation with ETPanache recently, Priya spoke of her first pet, Millie, a German Shepherd.

“It was a life changing experience for me [when I got her home]. My brother [Agnivesh] and I have a huge age gap, of 14-15 years. So, he was always travelling. [Coming home to Millie] felt like coming back to a sibling, someone to play with, to spend time with,” she said.

Dogs are also the subject over which Priya bonded with Ratan Tata. “We met at an industry event. And of the 15-20 minutes that we were chatting, we spent the most time talking about our passion for pets,” she recalls.
