Grooming beard has become an enjoyable routine for GD Foods Vice Chairman

Nitin Seth, Vice Chairman, G.D. Foods (Tops) didn’t get the chance to miss his designer clothes during the lockdown because it was business as usual for him since he works in the food processing sector. And while he did miss out on going to the salon, it turned out to be a welcome shift to his grooming routine.
Seth says, “Since salons were closed I took on the task of maintaining my beard regularly to avoid an unkempt look. A ritual that started during the lockdown out of necessity has now become an enjoyable routine,” he says.

Second skin
Seth loves dressing up, and considers a suit a second skin to him. “I have always been particular about my wardrobe and my designer wear / clothes are always well maintained and laundered,” he tells ET Panache. Even when it comes to Zoom calls, Seth makes sure to dress the part. “I often wore my designer suits for those virtual meetings. I believe if you dress casually, so will be your attitude towards your work, which is why I never compromise on what I wear and prefer dressing smartly in professional suits,” he adds.

Comfort first
However, he did splurge on lounge wear during the lockdown. “My everyday lockdown outfit included pure cotton or khadi kurtas and joggers. Working long hours and spending all that time at home takes a toll. Comfortable and flexible clothing reduces stress-level for me,” he says. “I like to head to Khadi and Fab India for kurtas, Uniqlo and Jockey for loungewear. I bought a lot of pure cotton/khadi kurtas and joggers. Before lockdown, I used to indulge in watches, suits and ties. I have been using ready-made masks by Van Heusen,” Seth says.
