Indira Gandhi (L) and JRD Tata (R).
When Bombay House, the iconic Tata group headquarters in Mumbai, reopened a month ago after extensive restoration work, all eyes were set on the modern new look that the building sported internally. One of the highlights of Bombay House 2.0 is the Tata Experience Centre, a digital museum. It is aimed at giving visitors an immersive experience into the world of Tata using digital technologies for effective storytelling.
Visitors get an insight into the history of the century-old group that has given India some towering business personalities.

There are gems from the group’s archives such as a letter written by the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi to JRD Tata. In the letter, Gandhi thanked Tata for the perfumes sent from a cosmetics company which the group owned at the time. Those were simple times.
