Apple WWDC will begin tonight at 10:30 pm IST.
The Covid-19 pandemic may have caused an economic slowdown and left the global population trapped indoors, but it still hasn’t managed to dampen the spirits of tech enthusiasts. Apple’s much-awaited Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is going to be an online-only event this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The event will kick start tonight, at 10:30 pm IST where Apple will be making a slew of announcements regarding the software and the hardware that the Cupertino-based company has in store for us.

What to expect from 31st WWDC?
Every year at WWDC, Apple announces its latest iteration of operating systems and this year’s conference will be no different. Apple is expected to announce iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7, and macOS 10.16.

    Apple iOS 14
The rumour mills are running overtime and if speculations are to be believed, Apple’s iOS 14 will come with improved multitasking. The word on the street is that iOS 14 might allow users to try an app before they download it. Reports also suggest that Apple might rename iOS to iPhone OS this year.

A report on the French site iPhonesoft also suggests that the new iOS 14 will support the same iPhones as iOS 13.

    iPadOS 14
Not much is known about iPad OS 14 as the Cupertino-based company has managed to keep much of it under the wraps. If reports are to be believed, iPadOS will not be rolled out for iPad Mini 4 and the iPad Air 2.

    Apple TV 4K
According to a report on The Verge, Apple is likely to launch a revamped version of Apple TV 4K which was launched in 2017. The report suggests that while the revamp is not expected to be huge, Apple TV might offer double storage of 64GB and 128GB and an improved processor.

    Apple AirTags
If rumours and reports on The Verge are to be believed, chances are that Apple might unveil tile-like AirTags during WWDC. These AirTags are expected to be circular discs that come with U1 chips that will help track your devices.

According to a report on MacRumours.com, AirTags are small tracking tiles with Bluetooth connectivity that can be used to find lost items. AirTags will have built-in chips that will allow them to connect to an iPhone, relaying the position of devices that they're attached to.

    Where to watch the livestream
Apple WWDC will begin tonight at 10:30 pm IST. This year’s online streaming of WWDC, will be free to watch for all on Apple’s homepage, Apple Events app on Apple TV, and Apple’s developer website and app.
