NEW DELHI: Cricketer Karun Nair announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Sanaya Takariwala.
The 27-year-old cricketer, whose triple century in a 2016 Test match against England in Chennai made him famous, took to social media to announce the news. "She said 'YES," he said alongside a picture and video of the couple.
His fiancée shared some more images from the grand proposal.
Nair will join the long list of famous Indian cricketers who have tied the knot in the past two years, which includes Virat Kohli and Zaheer Khan.
Although he scored a triple century, Karun has been unable to cement a place for himself in the Indian team accross formats. He remains a mainstay in domestic cricket for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy and limited overs tournaments. He is also a regular in the Indian Premier League and played for Kings XI Punjab last season.
