Cyber security firm Kaspersky has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Computer Emergency Response (CERT-In), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India for collaboration in the area of information security.

“As the complexity, frequency and sophistication of cyber-attacks continue to increase, the pandemic has amply highlighted that we are co-dependent, interconnected & vulnerable. Through this venture, Kaspersky will look to thwart potential cyber-attacks by focusing on privacy protection, reliability, incident response, and integrity of computer networks in the country.

Considering the complex nature of cyber threats that we are encountering in today’s world, such a strategic partnership between Kaspersky and CERT-In is not only necessary but also inevitable.”

The partnership will also see the execution of joint projects aimed at accelerating the devekopment of Indian start-ups in this domain, through mentorship provided by Kaspersky iHub. It will also invlude technical exchange on incident analysis and response, cyber security audit, and malware analysis.
