    Nita Ambani visits Hardik Pandya in London a day before his 26th birthday; MI player 'humbled' by her gesture

    Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani, who was in London to deliver a key note speech 'Inspiring A Billion Dreams : The India Opportunity' at the Leaders Week 2019, took time off to visit Hardik Pandya in the city.

    The Team India all-rounder recently underwent a surgery for his lower back in the British capital. He had travelled to London on October 2 along with team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar.

    Pandya, who celebrates his 26th birthday today, took to Twitter to thank the Mumbai Indians (MI) team owner for her visit. Tweeting a picture with Ambani, he wrote, "Thank you Bhabhi for coming to meet me here in London. Humbled by your gesture. Your wishes and encouraging words mean a lot to me. You have always been an inspiration."


    Ambani owns the Indian Premier League team, MI, and is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

    On Tuesday, the cricketer had posted a video showing his recovery, saying, "Baby steps .. but my road to full fitness begins here and now 💪 Thank you to everyone for their support and wishes, it means a lot."


    Earlier, Pandya's social media post following the surgery, had gone viral after fans identified the watch he was wearing to be a Patek Philippe Nautilus. Made by Swiss luxury watchmaker, Patek Philippe - the timepiece is priced anywhere between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 13 crore.
