Mohit Goel finds it liberating to be back in his Delhi corporate office working with his team once again.
Mohit Goel, CEO, Omaxe Limited, has his corporate office at Kalkaji in Delhi. He commutes to work every day in his car ever since the government allowed the resumption of offices with precautions in Unlock 1.0.

"The experience so far has been good. We have been making all efforts to keep our employees healthy and safe. Joining the office after such a long time was liberating," he told ET Panache.

    Safety first
All the safety guidelines mandated by the government are being followed including mandatory wearing of mask, hand sanitisation at entrance and during work at regular intervals, thermal scanning at entry gates, maintaining distance during meetings and avoiding large gatherings.

"Everyone was on the edge in the beginning returning to work in an office set up after a long time. The rising COVID-19 cases meant extreme precautions are being taken. But the responsibilities I shoulder meant I was on with my team meetings from my home since the lockdown was announced in March - strategising, motivating my team and assuaging the fears of our stakeholders including homebuyers, associates, investors, banks, vendors etc. So, it has been work all through, initially from home and in the past few months from the office," he said.

    Challenge chapter
Working from office is an experience in itself – team meetings, brain storming etc. enables team building and enhances productivity feels Goel.

"I have always been a big proponent of working from office as a preferred mode. We are currently working with a reduced workforce and have allowed only that many employees that the government has mandated," he shared.

Working from office gives every employee an opportunity to harness their skills, network and build a truly vibrant work culture, according to Goel.

"It brings about a natural work-life balance that helps enhance productivity. The first day in office after the lockdown can be rightly summed up in one word – Cathartic. It was an unanticipated wait for everyone. It was a happy feeling to be back again to our passions," he ended.
