OnePlus 8T with 48MP camera, 4,500 mAh battery launched at Rs 42,999; to go on sale on Amazon from October 17

A day after Cupertino-based tech giant Apple unveiled its new iPhone line-up, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus launched an exciting line-up of products at the OnePlus 8T 5G launch event.

The event, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was completely virtual. Here's a complete round-up of all the products that were launched at the much-awaited event.

New colour variant for OnePlus Nord
The event began with a new colour variant for OnePlus Nord being launched, called 'Gray Ash'. The phone is available 12GB+256GB storage variant and will go on sale on Amazon at Rs 29,999.


OnePlus 8T design
Next up, the Chinese smartphone-maker unveiled the new OnePlus 8T. Colour, material and finish play an important role in the design of 8T. The Oneplus 8T looks more like a nordish than a flagship OnePlus T series. It is as light as 188g which should offer a good hand feel and also be compact.

The OnePlus 8T is available in two colour variants - Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver.

OnePlus 8T Display
The OnePlus 8T has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a flat fluid AMOLED display. It has a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, 240 Hz sampling rate and HDR+display.

OnePlus 8T Specifications
Talking about the processor, OnePlus 8T is powered by Snapdragon 865, 12 GB RAM and dual stereo speakers with Dolby atmos.

It has a powerful 4,500 mAh battery so rest assured, you can kiss your charging woes goodbye. It also comes with Warp Charge 65 (65W wireless charging) which allows you to get a day's worth of power in just 15 minutes.


OnePlus 8T Camera
The OnePlus 8T has a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide with 123-degree field of view, 5MP macro camera and 2MP monochrome camera. OnePlus 8T camera can automatically switch to Nightscape mode.

OnePlus Buds Z
Wearing the new OnePlus Buds Z will be as convenient as ever as it weighs just 43.5 grams. It has an IP5 rating for water and dust resistance. It has a Bass Boost feature and offers 20 hours of battery life. The OnePlus Buds Z start at $49.

OnePlus 8T price and availability
In India, the 8GB+128GB variant will be available at Rs 42,999 while the 12GB+256GB variant will be available at Rs 45,999 via Amazon. The OnePlus 8T will go on sale on Amazon India 17 October onwards.

No OnePlus 8T Pro
Those expecting OnePlus 8T Pro might be in for a disappointment, as OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau had confirmed that the company will not be launching the OnePlus 8T Pro this time along. He explained that the company was not able to justify an upgrade to the model, considering that it is already at its peak.
