Police question YRF execs about Sushant S Rajput’s contract, record casting director Shanoo Sharma’s statement

The investigation into the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput is still underway almost two weeks after the 'Kai Po Che' actor was found hanging in his Bandra home.

The Mumbai Police has reportedly already recorded the statement of 24 people including Rajput's rumoured girlfriend actress Rhea Chakraborty, casting director Mukesh Chhabra - who has also directed Rajput's last film 'Dil Bechara', publicist Rohini Iyer, film-maker Sandip Ssingh in addition to his house help and several close family members.

Police had yesterday questioned Aashish Singh, Director-Original Films at Netflix.


According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the Mumbai police have now questioned two Yash Raj Films (YRF) executives who were reportedly in charge at the production house when Sushant Singh Rajput signed a contract with them in 2012.

As per PTI, one of them was YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma.

Sharma, who had worked with Rajput for YRF's 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!', reportedly gave her statement at Bandra police station.

"Shanoo Sharma, a casting director with the Yash Raj Films, is being questioned at Bandra police station," Abhishek Trimukhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 9), said, according to the report in PTI.

The report added that representatives of some more production houses are likely to be called by the police for questioning in the next few days.

Last week Yash Raj Films (YRF) had submitted copies of the contract signed by the late actor for their upcoming projects to the Mumbai Police.
