Pool table, gym in the colour of his team: Matt Hardy's abode is things he loves

    Synopsis

Hardy's den is a man-cave that he’s filled with memories and milestones.

I’m out in the middle of the woods, so sometimes when we have visitors over, they’ll hang out or work out in the gym in the morning or chill in the arcade or watch movies.
WWE superstar Matt Hardy describes his den as a man-cave that he’s filled with memories and milestones.

    My personal den is…
“A bit of a man-cave. Downstairs in my basement, I have a gym, an arcade and a movie theatre. There are pictures and artefacts from across my career moments like the boxing gloves and the shorts I wore when I got to fight World Champion boxer Evander Holyfield. There are also pictures of when my brother and I first started wrestling in 1992. I have a wall across the whole gym that shows my evolution. It reminds me of how blessed and fortunate a life I lead.”

    A signpost for the den
    “Stay optimistic.”

One thing my den would never have…
“A cigarette. I’ve never smoked or liked smoking, so you won’t find that in my house.”

    Family time
“I don’t live very close to anyone. I’m out in the middle of the woods, so sometimes when we have visitors over, they’ll hang out or work out in the gym in the morning or chill in the arcade or watch movies. But the buddies I spend the most time with in my den are my three best friends — my little boys who are three-and-a-half and one-and a half — and my brother. He’ll come over with his two young girls.”

    Memory lane
“We have an arcade that’s kind of the separation between the gym area and the theatre. There’s a pool table in there with arcade games around it. When I was younger, there was a place we would go to get pizza and play pool. Once I became a WWE superstar and was able to have nice things for myself, a pool table was one thing I wanted to get.

    If you could invite anyone…
“Maybe the owner of WWE, Vince McMahon. I’d force him to work out in my gym or play arcade games.”

One adjective to describe my den
    “Wonderful.”.

    Kudos to the Mrs
“There are a couple of special chairs that my wife procured. They’re throne-like and they really set the whole space off. My wife is Puerto Rican and very hands-on. When we were setting up the gym, she said, ‘You can have a gym, the equipment and all this space. I’m not going to complain about it one bit, but I want all the equipment to be green and purple (his team colours). If we’re going to have a home, it’s going to look nice.’ So she set that up too. It’s dressed up really nice.”
