Sustain Labs Paris boss reads for 2 hrs daily with her son

Miniya Chatterji, founder of Sustain Labs Paris, the world’s first sustainability incubator loves reading.

She has been reading several books during the lockdown. "Currently, I am reading 'Ecology and Equity', by Madhav Gadgil, and books by Eric Carle with my toddler son," she tells ET Panache.

There has been a lot of learning from the books for Chatterji. She shares, "I love Gadgil's works as they show how the social and environmental interconnections are complex in a country as diverse in landscape and people as India. Often the complexity and indeed the environmental destruction is a consequence of conflicts between social groups and economic interests of some. Eric Carle's books show how children can learn about their world through the world of animals."

She reads for about two hours by herself and with her son.

"Work doesn't stress me out. If it did I wouldn't do it. However, I read to keep myself abreast of information and of others' opinions," she says.

Chatterji likes a mix of both physical and e-books. "Sometimes e-books are more practical. On the other hand, holding a physical book and reading it is delightful," she ends.
