What Niraj Bajaj, Mary Kom, Sharad Agarwal plan to do with family this New Year

Business and sports personalities reveal it’s that time of the year when the best-laid plans involve holidays spent with friends and family.

“We are going to be in Australia [to ring in the New Year]. We’ve been planning this for over 10 years and it’s finally happening. December is the month to be there [in Australia, seasonwise]. But somehow we have not been able to make it so far.”

“We’re going to Thailand. With a new baby who’s just one-and-a-half, we haven’t been on a vacation in over two years, so we’re quite excited about getting away for the holidays. Thailand is beautiful with beaches and lots of water sports. We’re waiting to see how my baby takes to the water. It’s either going to be fantastic or a complete disaster (laughs).”

“I will spend the day with my husband and kids. I’ve been very busy with training and the World Championship in the past few weeks. I want the first day of 2019 to be all about family. We will have a meal together, sing songs, play some games and eat our favourite sweets.”

“Since my work schedules are generally very tight, I cherish the end of the year. I will be headed to Goa with family for a vacation for Christmas before returning to Mumbai, to celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends and family.”

“Last year, I was working New Year’s. I don’t think that’s going to be the case this time. I’m getting ready to start back on a full-time schedule on the road. So, I would imagine my New Year’s plans is going to be to do something with my family... I’d say that we would maybe go the beach or just spend a couple days away together almost like a mini-vacation to bring in the New Year.”
