    Philadelphia is nicknamed by some as the ‘City of Murals,’ with nearly 4,000 pieces of art decorating the city's buildings and walls.     - Take time off from sightseeing to catch a performance at the Pennsylvania Ballet or Opera Philadelphia. Both perform at the Academy of Music, a National Historic Landmark built in 1857. It's the oldest opera house in the USA.

    Philadelphia houses nine professional sports teams and nearly 100 collegiate institutions. Other events that are worth catching while you're in Philadelphia include river races, relays, the Philadelphia International Unity Cup, Philadelphia Marathon (22-23 Nov, 2020), the Penn Relays (23-25 Apr, 2020), Dad Vail Regatta (8 May, 2020) and the Devon Horse Show (21-31 May, 2020).
