Aluminium futures ease on low demand

New Delhi: Aluminium prices fell 0.10 per cent to Rs 153.20 per kg in futures trade on Monday as speculators reduced their bets amid subdued demand in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for October delivery eased by 15 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 153.20 per kg in a business turnover of 80 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to weak demand from consuming industries in the physical market weighed on aluminium prices in futures trade.
