    Jet Airways shares jump 4.42% as Nifty tumbles

    New Delhi: The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Wednesday allowed 90 days' extension for the corporate insolvency resolution process of Jet Airways. The resolution professional had last week filed an application in NCLT seeking 90 days' extension for the insolvency process of the grounded airline after it failed to attract any bidder.

    Shares of Jet Airways traded 4.42 per cent up in Thursday's trade at 03:01 pm. Around 1,13,781 shares changed hands on the counter. The stock opened at Rs 16.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 16.6 and Rs 15.1, respectively, in the session so far.

    Jet Airways, incorporated in the year 1992, is a Small Cap company (having a market cap of Rs 177.21 crore) operating in Airlines sector.

    The company reported net loss of Rs 587.77 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2018. For the quarter ended 31-12-2018, the company reported Standalone sales of Rs 6147.98 crore, down 0.21 per cent from last quarter Sales of Rs 6161.15 crore and up 1.02 per cent from last year same quarter Sales of Rs 6086.20 crore.

    Jet Airways key Products/Revenue Segments include Income (Airlines) which contributed Rs 20,309.88 crore to Sales Value (87.21 per cent of Total Sales), Cargo Income which contributed Rs 1789.14 crore to Sales Value (7.68 per cent of Total Sales), Other Operating Revenue which contributed Rs 956.97 crore to Sales Value (4.10 per cent of Total Sales), Bagasse which contributed Rs 172.07 crore to Sales Value (0.73 per cent of Total Sales) and Export Incentives which contributed Rs 58.47 crore to Sales Value (0.25 per cent of Total Sales)for the year ending 31-Mar-2018.

    Promoters held 24.99 per cent stake in the company as of Dec 2018.

    Valuation ratio
    It quoted a price-to-earnings ratio of 0.04 and price to book value of 0.02.
