Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index down; PFC falls 2%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was down with its components trading lower in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Power Finance Corporation (down 2.54 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (down 1.94 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (down 1.62 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.9 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.83 per cent), ICICI PRU LIFE (down 0.73 per cent), SBI Life (down 0.72 per cent), ICICI GI (down 0.71 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.62 per cent), REC (down -0.4 per cent), Bajaj Finance (down 0.22 per cent), Bajaj Holdings & Investment (down 0.08 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.18 per cent down at 14334.35 around 11:54 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 29.75 points at 12194.8 , while the BSE Sensex was down 106.87 points at 41,422.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Federal Bank, Indian Oil Corp, SBI, JSPL, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, SAIL and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
