Stock market update: BSE MidCap index flat; Future Retail surges 9%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE MidCap index was trading flat at 02:25PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of Future Retail (up 9.34 per cent), Godrej Properties (up 7.94 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 6.83 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (up 5.57 per cent) and Bharat Forge (up 3.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindustan Aeronautics (down 13.72 per cent), Endurance Techno (down 5.08 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (down 3.0 per cent), Max Financial Serv (down 2.91 per cent) and JSW Energy (down 2.72 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.04 per cent up at 15159.31 around 02:25PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 28.15 points at 11577.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 116.03 points at 39189.95.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, DLF and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Strides Shasun , Tata Elxsi, Atul Ltd, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. and GMR Infra hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Unishire Urban Infra Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Ajwa Fun World & Resorts Ltd., Indo Cotspin Ltd., Kore Foods Ltd. and One Global Service Provider Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
