    Stocks in the news: Prestige Estates, Tata Power, GAIL, Indiamart and Prabhat Dairy

    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 177 points, or 1.42 per cent higher at 12,675, in signs that Dalal Street was headed for a gap-up start on Tuesday. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Earnings Today: Aarti Industries, Alkyl Amines, Bata India, Chalet Hotels, Endurance Technologies, Future Consumer, GAIL, Gillette, Hindalco, Motherson Sumi, NDTV, SJVN, Tata Power, Teamlease and V-Mart Retail are among companies that would announce their September quarter results on Tuesday.

    Prestige Estates Projects: Realty firm Prestige Estates Projects said it has agreed to sell a large portfolio of office, retail and hotel properties to global investment firm Blackstone for an enterprise value of Rs 9,160 crore.

    Indiamart Intermesh: B2B e-commerce firm Indiamart Intermesh posted nearly eight-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 70 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2020. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 9 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

    Hindustan Zinc: Tata Steel has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Zinc to procure the firm's complete domestic zinc requirements, according to a statement. This initiative would bolster the idea of Aatmanirbhar Bharat with one of the largest companies choosing to become vocal for local.

    Prabhat Dairy: The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) quashed an order, passed by markets regulator Sebi, asking Prabhat Dairy to deposit over Rs 1,292 crore, and also directed the regulator to process the delisting application of the firm and pass appropriate orders within six weeks.

    Future Lifestyle Fashions: The company reported default on payments for its non-convertible debentures (NCDs). In a regulatory filing, the company said it has defaulted on "Payment of annual interest of Rs 30.93 crore for the period between 10 November 2019 to 09 November 2020."

    Unitech: Crisis-hit realty firm Unitech reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,316.65 crore for the March quarter of the last fiscal. Its net loss stood at Rs 402.16 crore in the year-ago period.

    JK Cement: JK Cement Ltd reported almost three-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 221.55 crore for the second quarter ended September 2020.

    Indian Oil Corporation: Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation’s top oil firm said it has commissioned its 120th aviation fuel station at Darbhanga in Bihar.

    Ashok Leyland: Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland expects commercial vehicle (CV) sales to pick up in the remaining months of the current fiscal year after witnessing huge decline in volumes in the first half owing to the coronavirus pandemic, PTI reported.

    PTC India: The power trading solutions provider reported a 3.8 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 193.64 crore in the September quarter, mainly due to lower wind power generation by one of its arm. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 201.35 crore in the September quarter a year ago, a BSE filing said.

    Oil India: The country’s second-biggest state oil producer reported 42 per cent fall in September quarter net profit largely on account of lower oil prices and one-time expense it incurred on controlling a blowout in Assam.

    TCS: IT services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it will acquire 100 per cent shares of Postbank Systems AG (PBS) from Deutsche Bank AG.

    Zuari Agro Chemicals: The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 15.80 crore for the quarter ended September. Its net loss stood at Rs 226.08 crore in the year ago period.

    Dalmia Bharat Sugar: The company reported a 11 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 55.55 crore for the quarter ended September.

    Srei Infrastructure Finance: The company reported a drop of 91.5 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 4.72 crore in the second quarter ended September 2020. It had posted a net profit of Rs 55.37 crore in the year-ago period. Sequentially, the profit was also down from Rs 23.01 crore posted in the June quarter of the current fiscal year.

    Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS): The BPO arm of the diversified Hinduja Group reported a 65.6 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 81.3 crore in September 2020 quarter.

    Kamdhenu: The company posted a 61.50 per cent fall in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 2.51 crore for the September 2020 quarter.
