Trending stocks: Adani Transmission shares jump nearly 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Adani Transmission Ltd. traded 4.6 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 10:24AM (IST). Around 192,945 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 183.75 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 189.4 and Rs 182.55, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Adani Transmission Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 365.8 and a 52-week low of Rs 147.5.

Total market cap of the Adani Transmission Ltd. stood at Rs 20720.42 crore at the time of writing this report.

The company said the coronavirus-induced lockdown has delayed execution of its under-construction projects and escalated costs.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 3186.96 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2020, up 14.74 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 2777.52 crore and up 25.2 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 2545.56 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 94.3 crore, down 35.72 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Mar-2020, DIIs held 0.13 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 20.69 per cent and the promoters 66.33 per cent.

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 27.93 and a price-to-book ratio of 2.17. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
