I want to invest Rs 25,000 in mutual funds. I have an investment horizon of three years. Please suggest where should I invest for the best returns.

Deepali Sen, Founder, Srujan Financial Advisors, responds:

Since you have a short investment horizon, you should invest in debt mutual funds. You can invest the money in corporate bond funds or banking and PSU funds. The two categories are relatively safer and may give you good returns. You may consider investing in Axis Banking & PSU Debt Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Corporate Bond Fund and Kotak Corporate Bond Fund.
