    Krishna Sanghvi to join Mahindra Mutual Fund as CIO

    Krishna Sanghavi, who has served as the Head of Equities at Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, is joining the Mahindra Mutual Fund as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

    Krishna Sanghavi, who has served as the Head of Equities at Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, is joining the Mahindra Mutual Fund as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). According to sources, Sanghvi will take charge of both equity and debt investments of the AMC from November 1.

    Sources also suggest that Krishna Sanghvi will be looking specifically at the Mahindra Kar Bachat Yojana, which is an Equity Linked Saving Scheme (ELSS). Investments in ELSS qualify for tax deductions of upto Rs. 1.5 lakh under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act. He will also be instrumental in managing the Mahindra Unnati Emerging Business Yojana, a mid cap scheme.

    Before this, Sanghvi was associated with the Canara Robeco AMC as Head of Equities. He was managing or co-managing some of the flagship schemes of the fund house, including Canara Robeco SmallCap Fund, Canara Robeco Emerging Equities, Canara Robeco Consumer Trends Fund, Canara Robeco Tax Saver Fund, Canara Robeco Equity Diversified Fund, Canara Robeco Equity Blue Chip Fund, Canara Robeco Infrastructure Fund and Canara Robeco Equity Hybrid Fund.

    Sanghavi comes with over two decades of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to his stint in Canara Robecco Mutual Fund, he has been associated in leadership roles at AVIVA Life Insurance and Kotak Mahindra Group.
