Ariaon (Dumraon): RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has honed the art of developing an instant connect with locals using the regional language spiced with humour, almost similar to his father Lalu Prasad.
On Thursday, he addressed 12 election meetings in the old Sahabad region which covers four districts –– Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar and Bhojpur.

At Ariaon village under Dumraon assembly seat in Buxar district, he reached at least 30 minutes behind schedule and addressed the gathering only for about 10 minutes.

Appearing on the dais, he shouted a slogan “Dumraon ki Mahan Janata Zindabad”. “Kare Ke Ba. Lareke Ba aur Jite ke ba (We have to do, we have to fight and we have to win this election,” he told the crowd at the very beginning of his speech.

In his short speech, he touched upon only three issues –– unemployment, waiving of farmers’ loans and increasing the monthly old age pension amount. He asked voters if they want to form the government of an RJD-headed grand alliance. “This will be a government of poor people,” he ensured voters.

Before reiterating his promise to give 10 lakh jobs to youths if voted to power, Tejashwi engaged the voters asking them to raise their hands on the issue of unemployment. He told them that the Nitish government has completely failed to provide employment to youths. “15 Saal Mein Berojgari Nahin Mita (In the last 15 years, the government could not do anything to provide jobs to youths),” he mentioned.

“At the first cabinet meeting after the formation of our government, we will fulfil the promise of providing jobs to 10 lakh youths,” he told voters prompting a thunderous applause from the crowd.

Trying to connect an emotional chord with voters, he told them that his birthday falls on November 9 when Bihar will go to the third phase of elections. He also informed them that Lalu Prasad’s bail petition would be also heard on November 9.
