    nagpur
It's a cakewalk for Nitin Gadkari. Nagpur is home to BJP's ideological parent, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gadkari won from Nagpur by a margin of around 1.97 lakh votes. He was up against Congress's Nana Patole.

Contesting for the first time in 2014, Nitin Gadkari defeated Vilas Muttemwar of Congress, who had earlier won four times from the seat and BSP's Dr. Mohan Ramrao Gaikwad.

In 2009, Congress' Muttemwar Vilasrao Baburaoji triumphed over BJP's Purohit Banwarilal Bhagwandas. The constituency voted in the first phase of 2019 Lok Sabha election on April 11, 2019.
