Andhra Pradesh government suspends TTD’s asset disposal proposal

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government ordered suspension of the proposal of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to dispose of the assets donated by devotees, following the opposition’s call for a people’s movement and day-long fast protests as well as appeals by Hindu religious leaders. Although the government issued the order late evening on Monday, the opposition decided to go ahead with the planned day-long fast protests on Tuesday.
