    BENGALURU: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to virtually inaugurate the state government’s flagship event Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020 scheduled for November 21.

    He extended an invitation during a meeting with the prime minister at the Parliament House that lasted for 15 minutes. The 23rd edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit - 2020 will be held virtually due to the Covid pandemic.

    The Department of Electronic, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology organises the three-day event of IT, BT and electronics. “The Covid-19 pandemic is creating unprecedented challenges and technology has a vital role to play in responding to the current situation, both in developing tools to fight the virus itself and in cushioning the impact of society as the pandemic persists,” the event organisers have said.

    The international conference will bring together top technology experts, futurists, policymakers, research heads and industry captains from all over the globe to indulge in invigorating sessions, according to the organisers.
