    Covid-19 cases hover around 3,000 in Tamil Nadu

    This takes the total tally in the State to over 703,250 cases. The State has consistently been reporting a decline with daily Covid-19 cases being under 4000. Chennai too remained under 1000 cases on Friday with 844 people testing positive for the infection in comparison to 833 people testing positive on Thursday.

    CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 3057 new Covid-19 cases on Friday as opposed to 3077 cases on Thursday.

    This takes the total tally in the State to over 703,250 cases.

    The State has consistently been reporting a decline with daily Covid-19 cases being under 4000.

    Chennai too remained under 1000 cases on Friday with 844 people testing positive for the infection in comparison to 833 people testing positive on Thursday.

    The number of deaths went down marginally from 45 on Thursday to 33 on Friday taking the total death toll to 10,858.

    As many as 4262 people recovered from the infection on Friday, and the total recoveries now stand at 659,432.

    Testing went up from 79,821 people on Thursday to 80,051 on Friday.
