    Deepak Kochhar tests positive for Covid 19

    Kochhar’s counsel, Vijay Aggarwal had met Kochhar twice between September 10 and September 13. When reached for a comment, Aggarwal said, “Taking my client to Delhi was illegal. They have put me and themselves at risk. The investigative agency shouldn’t had indulge in such heroic act,” he said. He refused to comment on the condition of his client.

    Mumbai: Businessman Deepak Kochhar, husband of former ICICI Bank MD & CEO, Chanda Kochhar has tested positive for Covid 19. Kochhar who has been admitted at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital is asymptomatic, sources in the know of the development told ET.

    Kochhar was arrested last week by the Enforcement Directorate ( ED) in a money laundering case. While he was arrested in Mumbai, he was taken to Delhi for further investigation.

    According to sources, the ED team and Kochhar’s lawyers have been asked to quarantine themselves.

    According to sources,ED has asked the witnesses not to join the probe.

    The Kochhars and Videocon Group chairman Venugopal Dhoot are accused in a money-laundering case registered more than a year and half ago by the federal agency.
