    Foreign Minister to inaugurate CPR Dialogues 2020 on India’s future

    New Delhi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will inaugurate will Centre for Policy Research (CPR) or CPR Dialogues 2020 that aim to provide a window to the India of the future.
    Hosted and organised by Delhi based noted think tank CPR on March 2-3, experts from around the country and the world will engage with and debate significant development and policy challenges that India faces in the coming decade.

    Featuring informed panel discussions with some of the foremost policy practitioners, academics, and thought leaders, the CPR Dialogues 2020 will address a wide spectrum of pertinent topics like air pollution, public education, state capacity, agriculture, geopolitics, technology, and law, among others.

    Other speakers include ex MoS External Affairs Shashi Tharoor, ex foreign secretary Shyam Saran, and former US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg.

    Some of the issues that will be debated during the CPR Dialogues are: As norms of engagement and the global order change, how should India define its geopolitical position? Can the Indian state deliver cutting edge public services to all its citizens and build 21st century public institutions? How can India create productive jobs while responding to challenges of technology, rapid urbanisation and global economic changes? How can India move towards a more inclusive and environmentally sound future while responding to its energy needs as a growing economy?
