    Karnataka sustains its low Covid-19 infection on Thursday, too

    Synopsis

    This takes the total reported Covid cases so far to 8.89 lakh, and 11,821 covid deaths. The total active cases have remained below 25,000, even as the tests have crossed one lakh a day. The government reported a positivity rate of 1.33% and case fatality rate (CFR) of 0.89%.

    Karnataka sustained its low Covid-19 infection rate on Thursday too, reporting a total of 1446 cases, and 13 Covid-19 deaths.
    This takes the total reported Covid cases so far to 8.89 lakh, and 11,821 covid deaths. The total active cases have remained below 25,000, even as the tests have crossed one lakh a day. The government reported a positivity rate of 1.33% and case fatality rate (CFR) of 0.89%.

    Bengaluru Urban district reported 758 new cases and six deaths. The new cases both across Karnataka and Bengaluru Urban, however, exceeded the number of discharges. Except Bengaluru Urban, no other district has crossed two digits in fresh cases. Only seven districts reported deaths, while 24 districts did not report any death.
