    New Delhi: The Centre expects to facilitate the return of more than one lakh Indians in 60 nations before June 13 and external affairs minister S Jaishankar held a review meeting of Vande Bharat Mission on Tuesday to ramp up the scale of repatriation and enhance its efficiency.

    “Concluded a detailed review meeting of Vande Bharat Mission... The focus of the meeting was to ramp up the scale of VBM and enhance its efficiency. Arrangements being made for amnesty beneficiaries in the Gulf and naval evacuation of our fishermen in Iran will happen in June,” Jaishankar tweeted after the meeting. He also said that Air India will shortly shift to direct ticketing to facilitate bookings abroad. The Centre is working with state governments for more efficient use of cumulative quarantine capacity.
