Das also assured that the regulator will continue to function normally.
“Work in RBI will go on normally,” he said. “I am in touch with all deputy governors and other officers through VC (video conference) and telephone.”

Das and his deputies have been at the forefront of tackling economic issues for a country ravaged by the pandemic. As per a recent assessment by the governor the Indian economy is at the doorstep of recovery with indicators showing pick-up in activity and Covid cases tapering off the peak.
COVID-19 cases in India dropped below 55,000 for the third straight day, while the deaths reported fell to 578 after almost three months, according to the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.
