    Royalty to grace Just Indic Think Bharata ‘Ahara’ Series on Sunday

    BENGALURU: Royal Scions of four Indian Royal families will be present at the Just Indic Ahara workshop to be held at the Taj West End in Bengaluru on June 9, Sunday, from 10 am to 3 pm.
    Babaji Rajah Bhonsle (Thanjavur Maratha Dynasty), Krishnadevaraya (Vijayanagar Tulava Dynast), Yaduveer Wadiyar (Mysore Wadiyar Dynasty), and Bhahirji Ajay Ghorpade (Sandur Ghorpade Dynasty) will be part of a panel discussion on Royal cuisine along with Rakesh Raghunathan of Dakshin Dairies.

    The workshop will also feature experts from the field of Yoga and Ayurveda to showcase pioneering research being done in these fields which is now putting India in the forefront of medical interventions for chronic illnesses. The speakers will include Ramakrishna, Vice-Chancellor at S-VYASA University, S Sridharan, founder at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and AYUSH and Prof Alex Hankey (MIT and Camridge trained physicist) whose current research includes the molecular effect of the Navagrahas on the human anatomy, according Roopa Vasudevan, vice chancellor at B.E.S.T Innovation University, the event organiser.

    Bangalore based chef, Anthony Huang who is now with Elior, will speak on food choices. Huang has headed the kitchens of some of the top brands in the city including The Sheraton Grand, JW Marriott, Hyatt and The Oberoi. Huang advocates practices which resonate with Ayurveda. “I am a huge crusader of trying to use locally available produce as far as possible and try and do my bit for the environment. There is no doubt in my mind that locally sourced raw materials are always the best option,” Vasudevan said.
