Shah says Soren sitting in Congress’ lap for power

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief and India’s home minister, Amit Shah, continued to attack the JMM-Congress alliance at his election rallies for the Jharkhand assembly polls on Monday.
Shah targeted JMM Congress alliance saying JMM’s working president Hemant Soren is sitting in the lap of Congress for power. “But BJP’s aim is to ensure the development of Jharkhand,” Shah told an election rally in Chakradharpur from where BJP’s state president Lakshman Gilua is contesting.

Apart from Chakradharpur, Shah also addressed an rally in Bharagoda in West Singhbhum district close to the West Bengal border. He added that BJP government would implement NRC across the nation.

“Jharkhand wants to end terrorism. It wants Ramllala’s temple to be built in Ayodhya,” he told the
gathering. Referring to article 370, he said everyone wants Kashmir to be integral part of the country.

He appealed voters to form a return a BJP government with full majority for the state’s development. He added that Chief Minister Raghubar Das has given corruption-free government in the state in the last five
years. Making an attempt to woo OBC voters, he reiterated that if his party forms the government in the state, it would immediately constitute a committee to increase the quota for OBCs. He clarified that the increase in quota will not affect existing reservation for SCs and STs.

Shah also listed different projects undertaken by Raghubar Das government for the development of Chakradharpur.
