    We will reopen two closed paper mills of Assam: Rahul Gandhi

    GUWAHATI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday promised to reopen two closed paper mills in Assam if voted to power.
    Gandhi addressed a public rally near Panchgram in Cachar district of Assam’s Barak Valley. From Silchar Lok Sabha seat congress sitting MP Lok Sushmita Dev is seeking re-election.

    Rahul said that Dev will be made minister if Congress comes to power. “Country needs young leaders from Assam and northeast at the Centre.”

    Attacking the Narendra Modi led NDA government; he said the unemployment scenario in the country at present is highest in last 45 years.

    He also assured to make Barak Valley in Assam as a hub of trade and commerce in the region and said that Delhi and Asia will be connected to the Barak Valley to ensure development.
